MEET OUR STAFF
Cathy Carnes, DMD
Dr. Cathy Carnes has lived in Colorado for the past 25 years, but she was born and raised in Madisonville, Kentucky. She attended the University of Kentucky for undergraduate school and then graduated from the University of Louisville Dental School in 1987.
Following dental school, Dr. Carnes completed the University of Louisville Orthodontic Residency program in 1989. Dr. Carnes is married to Dr. Perri Carnes, an endodontist, and they have three grown children: Hannah (33), Olivia (31), and Samuel (29), and two new grandchildren, Briar and Ariadne, born in June 2022.
Dr. Carnes enjoys reading, traveling, and has a new passion for researching ancestry and discovering the stories of past relatives. She is a member of the American Association of Orthodontics and the Colorado Association of Orthodontics, and she is thrilled to be a part of our practice.
Robin Yamaguma, DMD
Dr. Robin received her undergraduate degree in biology from the University of Hawai'i and her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Boston University. After graduating from Boston University in 2010, she worked on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota as a general dentist. While she treated patients of all ages, Dr. Robin found her niche in working with children. Dr. Robin returned to school and completed her pediatric dental residency at the NYU Langone's Hawai'i site in 2015 and became a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry in 2017.
While living in South Dakota, Dr. Robin visited Colorado often and fell in love with all the outdoor activities our beautiful state has to offer and decided to call Colorado home after completing her residency. She moved to Colorado with her son Wyatt and dog named Dumpy (Dr. Robin found her at a dump in South Dakota). When not here at Littleton Kids Dental, Dr. Robin can be found trail running or up in the mountains.
Dr. Robin is a member of the Colorado Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
Danni
Practice Manager
Danni grew up in Michigan and embarked on her dental journey 20 years ago. Her passion is children, and she loves working with our families and helping create an environment they look forward to visiting. She spent 12 years as a stay-at-home mom, and has been happy to be back in the ortho and dental field for the last several years. Danni has three children, and enjoys spending time with them; whether it’s in the mountains, at their sports activities, volunteering at their school, or cuddled up on the couch to watch a movie
Danni moved to Colorado 13 years ago from Michigan, where her extended family lives, so she enjoys getting back to visit several times a year. In her personal time, you’ll find Danni walking her Mini Goldendoodle, Stafford (named after Detroit Lions QB), or enjoying some other forms of fitness, watching football, and catching up with friends and loved ones. Interesting facts… Danni enjoys interior decorating, event planning and owns a cooking blog!
Daniel
Financial Coordinator
Daniel has been working in the dental field for 7 years. He enjoys taking his love for math and translating that into helping parents utilize the most from their insurance benefits. If he’s not in the office, you can find him by the water. On a cold day, soaking in the many hot springs Colorado’s known for, or on a sunny day, soaking up some rays by the pool.
Ursula
Scheduling Coordinator
Ursula has experience as a scheduling coordinator for 11 years, and has been with Littleton Kids for almost a couple of years now. She loves seeing all of the beautiful kids walk in with their BIG smiles. She has two adult children and her parents in her life, and loves spending time with them and her friends. Ursula loves to go to dinner, movies and sews in her spare time. Fun fact… Ursula hems for her family, makes curtains, and decorates baby bassinets!
Sara
Scheduling Coordinator
Sara is a newer addition to our office, and is always happy to greet our patients and families with a friendly smile. She loves seeing kids excited to come to the dentist and leave with a fresh smile. Sara raves how much she loves our team and how awesome they are! When Sara isn’t at Littleton Kids, she enjoys spending her days outside, camping, reading, walking her dog, Lola, or just enjoying the sunshine. Sara and her significant other love to travel to New Mexico and explore new places!
Sandra
Dental Assistant
Sandy started out as a scheduling coordinator until she went to school for dental assisting and has been doing it for about a year. She enjoys working with kids and having the opportunity to make a difference in their lives by helping transform their smiles. Sandy has a teenage son, Haiden who keeps her on her toes. They love to go on road trips, check out hot springs and hiking. She plays softball and loves going to concerts and festivals!
Angela
Orthodontic Assistant
Angie has been an orthodontic assistant since 2004. She loves helping people have more confidence in themselves, by getting straight teeth, and she loves the amazing staff she gets to work with. Angie enjoys spending time with her family, grandchildren and their new puppy.
Lindsay
EDDA
Lindsay has been in the dental field since 2009. She loves interacting with the kids and giving them a great experience at our office. Lindsay enjoys being outdoors, collecting sneakers, reading, and hanging out with her dog, Moose.
Kellie
Pedo Clinic Lead
Kellie has been in the dental field for 40 years and loves working with children. Kellie strives to provide a positive and fun dental experience. With many years working with the same practice, it has allowed her to care for some 2nd generation of our families. When Kellie isn’t at Littleton Kids, she enjoys camping and fishing with her husband and dog, Vallie. She also enjoys hiking, gardening, baking, true crime, and mysteries.
Noelle
Orthodontic Assistant
Noelle has been assisting in creating amazing smiles for almost 20 years. She loves the team she gets to work with, and enjoys watching the changes in confidence as kids go through treatment with their braces. Noelle has lived in Colorado since 2000 but is a Texas girl at heart. She’s a mom of two amazing kids, 3 Italian greyhounds, and loves spoiling her new grandbaby. Noelle loves hiking 14ers, skiing, and traveling to warm destinations any chance she can get!
Andrea
Orthodontic Assistant
Andrea has over 25 years’ experience in the ortho field. She loves working with her friends and helping patients overcome their fears. Andrea loves trying new foods, crafting, and gardening. She especially loves the company of her husband, son, and rescue boxer, Louie.
Oksana
Orthodontic Assistant
Oksana’s passion started when she had braces at 15 years old. She started working for her orthodontist and was trained to assist a couple of years later in 1997. Oksana finds it rewarding to see the kids excited and their smiles get bigger and bigger, and even more confident. She enjoys coming together with our families as a team, as success grows with each visit. Oksana reports how she loves how cheerful Dr. Carnes is and how much she enjoys worming at Littleton Kids! Her family has lived in Colorado over 25 years. She enjoys boating, soaking up the sunshine, and spending time with her four children. Oksana enjoys taking photographs at our office, staring at teeth, and perfecting them!
Cori
Dental Assistant
Cori has been working in the dental field for almost 10 years. She started out in General Dentistry, but found her niche in Pediatric Dentistry because she loves working with kids. Cori enjoys helping kids learn that visits to the dentist can be fun, and she wants to love coming back to see her. Cori loves taking the time to joke with our patients and their families by answering questions and sharing her dental knowledge to keep them informed. Cori has a daughter and husband, they like to camp, hike, and explore all that Colorado has to offer! They have a beagle mix named Lucy. Fun Fact: Cori loved in South Korea for 2 years and traveled to Thailand, Vietnam, and Cambodia.
Brittany
Dental Assistant
Brittany began dental assisting in October 2021. She loves working with kids! Brittany enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She loves watching movies with her significant other and fur babies. Brittany enjoys car shows, hiking, shooting, paddle boarding, drawing, listening to music, and sleeping. Interesting fact: Brittany is also a cosmetologist!
